Congrats to the BYC Biltmore Raffle Winner, Mike Hall of Hall
Contracting Corporation!

January 27, 2020:  Build Your Career recently held an end-of-year holiday fundraiser raffle online where our members and supporters had the opportunity to purchase tickets to enter a raffle drawing for a chance to win a fabulous customizable Biltmore experience valued at $1,550.  Up for grabs in the BYC holiday fundraiser raffle as the prize was a $1,250 gift card to the Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina, plus two tickets to tour the Estate, conservatory, grounds and winery.  This awesome prize also included a “behind the scenes” winery tour for two adults—complete with a full, upgraded wine tasting with artisanal cheese pairing hosted by the Winery’s most knowledgeable wine aficionados.  Our winner of this awesome gift card to Biltmore will be able to customize their experience by choosing from a variety of onsite activities and online shopping options.  A hearty congratulations goes out to Hall Contracting Corporation’s Mike Hall for being our lucky winner!

Our raffle prize winners, Mike Hall and his wife Christel, were thrilled to learn their ticket was electronically selected as the winner.  Mike Hall stated, “While Christel and I are excited to be the lucky winners of the BYC Biltmore raffle, we are even more excited about the progress BYC has made over the last year, with many CAGC member companies and their employees volunteering their time, and money to get involved.  As I’ve said before, this is an investment in our industry’s future, not an expense.  We are proud to be supporters of BYC here at Hall Contracting!”  The $1,250 gift card can be used at any of the Biltmore’s luxurious onsite hotels or in their high-end spa; at any of award-winning restaurants; at any of the retail shops or winery; to purchase tours and attraction tickets and much more.  The Halls will no doubt have plenty of options for keeping themselves entertained while enjoying their amazing vacation package, but let’s hope they make room in their busy schedules to factor in a little rest and relaxation time too!

The BYC Biltmore experience package given away as our raffle prize was sponsored by D.R. Reynolds Company, Inc. of Star, North Carolina.  D.R. Reynolds is a long-time Carolinas AGC member and an avid supporter of Build Your Career.  Goosie Kennedy, Project Manager at DRR and one of BYC’s most active Ambassadors, commented on why their company wanted to become so heavily involved with the BYC workforce development efforts and sponsoring our fundraising raffle by stating, Our company was happy to sponsor this fundraiser. D. R. Reynolds Company understands first-hand the need for skilled workers to continue the high craftsmanship that is put in place daily on job sites around the country. We look forward to continuing the commitment with the BYC Initiative in this outreach of gathering these young workers, teaching them an honest trade, and setting them apart as some of the best employees a company must have.”

On behalf of Carolinas AGC, its Foundation and Build Your Career, we would like to offer a sincere thank you to our raffle prize sponsor, D.R. Reynolds, and also to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket during our online holiday fundraiser to help support BYC.  All proceeds generated from our raffle will benefit the BYC workforce development initiative and will be used to purchase marketing resources and supplies for our Ambassadors—assisting them on their quest to continue promoting construction careers to local students.  Again, congratulations to our lucky BYC raffle prize winner, Mike Hall of Hall Contracting Corporation!
