By taking career and technical education classes in high school, at a technical center, or at a community college, you can get on the fast track to success. Basic construction classes are offered in many high schools, where you can earn credentials if the classes are taught by National Center for Construction Education and Research-certified craft instructors and you successfully complete the programs. These credentials are nationally recognized in the industry and can open the door for you to get a job with a good company that will assist in furthering your education after high school.
