Build Your Career has a few updates to announce:

In last month’s BYC newsletter dates to remember, we announced an upcoming “Apprenticeship 101 Workshop”  in late Fall of 2019.  However, we will be pushing these workshops out to February 2020 because we are inviting several other entities and constituents to partner in with us on this venture to offer more comprehensive services to our member employers (NC & SCWorks, NC Community College System, SCDEW, etc.). Our workshops dates and locations are still TBD, but we will be hosting two separate workshops, one for NC employers and another for our SC employers.  Please note that if your company does perform work in both states, it would be highly beneficial to try and have representatives from your company attend both workshops since there are variations in each respective state’s apprenticeship and OJT programs, as well as differences of benefits to participating employers.  Once our workshop dates and locations have been determined, a follow up email invitation with full details and registration information will be sent out to our members and all information will also be available on the BYC website (anyone planning to attend either workshop, or both, must register before deadline specified).

Additionally, the updated Ambassador toolkits will now be available on the BYC website on September 9th, 2019 located in the "Ambassador Portal" link off the Ambassadors page on our home page (under the "Get Started" tab in the navigation menu bar, scroll down to the Ambassador tab in the drop down menu and click, then scroll down to the bottom of the page to the "Ambassador portal" icon and click to enter).  You must use your CAGC member login credentials to access.  If you are a registered BYC Ambassador, but not a CAGC member with a login user ID, please contact the BYC Director (contact info listed below) for assistance. Once you are able to access the Ambassador portal, you will find all Ambassador resources and the toolkit available for download.  *Please note there have been several recent additions to the toolkit resources and also several edits made to existing resources.
